that's what they say at least. Who can prove them that there isn't any EtOH blended into it as it comes from the distributor?

The higher the Ethanol content the lower your MPG's will be...I thought the purpose of the corn in fuel was to make the fuel last more but it's the same as buying a Fiat 500 (Golf Cart) for $18000 verse buying a Chevy Cruze (Small yet REAL Car) for $18000...

In more populated parts of New York State, air polllution regs requite an additive ... But NY banned MBTE because it creates dagerous ground water pollution if it leaksor spills. Much of NY state MUST have Ethanol added fot air quality, and the only thing that will satisfy Federal Air quality standars that is not banned by state water pollution codes is Ethanol!

At a 10 to 15 cent premium, they are going to get a lot of customers willing to drive a little distance out of their way. Around here, the ethanol-free gas I've seen goes for about 85 cents more than regular (but then it is near a popular recreational lake). That may be worth it for outboard and antique motor fuel, but it is not cost effective for regular driving.

All stations should post whether or not ethanol is in fuel.

“Newer cars are built to handle the ethanol-blended gas . . .”
Newer cars do not suffer as much damage from ethanol as do older cars and most small engines; however, they all suffer a loss of fuel mileage, which generally makes E10 more expensive to use even when it costs less to buy than E0. Our overall mileage for our 2010 Subaru exceeds its EPA highway rating by about 20%, at least partially due to using E0 gasoline exclusively.
We should all be working to repeal the ethanol mandate. Have you contacted your Congressman?

For lawn mower engines, it matters. For post-2000 car engines, not so much.

I've been living with the 10% gasohol blend for over 30 years now. I wouldn't drive out of my way for pure gas.

Ethanol added to your gasoline means less power and poorer economy. Not to mention the effect it has on your fuel system! You are getting SCREWED when they add this crap to your gas.
