Not good news. Gas had almost gotten where I could afford to drive, now I have to start doing without again just to get to and from work.

I'm really happy that I got myself into motorcycling than driving my 2001 Pathfinder everyday to get to school. It cut my total monthly gas price down to 90% less of what I paid for with the car.

With the government and states charging a flat rate they are losing billions as consumption has dropped, oil companies need to help pay for the infrastructure, not get tax breaks and incentives.

W may have started it but Mr. Obama has done quite a lot to continue the mess. The record high gas prices in June/July 2008 dropped and continued to drop until the end of January 2009 which was when Mr. Obama took office which had an average price of $1.85/gallon.
If Mr. Obama is going to take the credit for things that happened like the bailout of the banks and the American auto manufacturers, he gets to take the credit for the price of gasoline. He used the strategic oil reserves, not to help the people but to help the government cause none of it stayed in the US. In order to replace what he used, we have to pay millions more than we originally paid.
The prices are outrageous and millions are scrapping by to continue getting to work. I don't know how the media can report that the economic situation is improving.

This flies in the face of the article a few days ago showing global petroleum consumption dropping like a rock. I guess when sales are bad, you just raise the price

the oil companies CAN produce and sell oil at DOMESTIC prices.
they did so just 3 years ago.
they just DON'T WANT TO.
prohibit the from selling on the world market, or impose EXPORT TARIFFS.

After paying an outrageous amount for gas and after paying the outrageous tolls on many of these toll roads, many Americans wonder if it is even worth it to get up in the morning and go to work.

More evidence of all that "Hope & Change." Why is anyone surprised when Obozo PROMISED in his campaign to drive energy costs up? This is ONE promise he has kept.
