or, in some cases, the student population. Currently, with most students not taking summer classes, driving in town is a cinch. Even at rush hour.

Here in Florida it is the Snow Birds that determine the traffic jam rate.

ppl w/ no jobs don't drive, but they move away. Look at Detroit, MI. It's gone so downhill they will turn lights off in some areas b/c there are not enough people to keep the electricity for the streetlights paid.

With higher gas prices and 'coming out of the closet' Barry's lousy economy and there will be less vehicles on the road. If you are lucky to Have a job and go to work everyday, the commuting time will be less than with a better economy. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost, if possible! The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

carlsonguitars, some stations actually sell 100% gas and put less than 10% ethanol in their gas. I usually got less mpg from Shell and Chevron than from Costco or AM/PM. Maybe it just depends on the distributor as some gas stations get gas from multiple distributors on occasion.
When I drove from Tacoma, WA to Albuquerque, NM last July, I got far better gas mileage from Costco in Tacoma, WA than anywhere else. Everywhere I stopped at along the way, I waited until my gaslight came on and got gas at the last possible moments. In NM, I ended up getting a whopping 65 miles less with a full tank of gas, making stops at Chevron in Shiprock and at Smith's in Albuquerque, NM.

I noticed traffic was light today for a Memorial Day Weekend... Speaking of which, I noticed that I spend less at the local 76 gas station, for some odd reason I get about 15% more MPG with that gas compared to Arco... Not really sure why 76 is better, it's usually close to the same price or only a few cents more, odd...

Makes sense, but I would rather have the traffic if it meant more people working.

Working long hours helps me. Going to work early & staying late, I'm able to avoid our traffic jams.

And Wasington D.C. has STILL not done anything to slow excess speculation in oil, as speculators reach into our pockets and STEAL millions of dollars.

Which means the economy is not improving. Of course, Obama won't do anything but blame Bush. We need to get rid of him.
