Moody's predicts Obama will approve Keystone XL pipeline

Platts -- Ratings agency Moody's predicted Monday that the Obama administration would eventually approve TransCanada's application to build the controversial Keystone XL pipeline.

"But approval will not be quick," Moody's Investor Service said in a report on fallout from the US presidential election. "A prolonged permitting process risks missing the very oil price boom that inspired Keystone XL in the first place."

Gulf Coast oil refiners and marketers stand to benefit from light/heavy crude price differentials as long as the project's permitting process and construction timeline lets TransCanada put the system into operation by 2015 or 2016, Moody's said.

Sneeky will continue to oppose the Keystone pipeline, so your are in a dream world if you expect him to approve it. The Keystone XL pipeline is Not in his plans to help the US, the sheep voted him in again so you have to live with it now for 'four more years.' Big Oil and Big Gas exports fuel and natural gas to other countries that will pay more for it, much more than here. This Canadian pipeline will help export that refined crude oil and natural gas by way of the refineries on the Gulf Coast. There will be NO price reduction or cheaper prices for fuel or natural gas IN the US, so it does NOT matter how much crude oil or natural gas is produced in the US or Canada. 'Coming out of the closet' Sneeky's lousy, smoke and mirrors, lack of jobs, dog and pony show and in the crapper economy, the 'jobs' are Not here. Sneeky's economy is not improving but continues to hurt the population and the job numbers continue to be down. People will still drive and buy fuel no matter what but it sure helps to have a job too! Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! XII/XXII/MMXII!

The current batch is getting stale. And as for driving up gas prices, Big Oil is doing just fine in that department, all by themselves. When you increase oil exports at the same time that you increase oil production, gas prices in this country tend not to come down.

So they can sell their oil at a higher price on the world market! The pipeline makes more oil available for refining, just don't expect the price of gas to go down from the pipeline.

Give Keystone XL the permit once it no longer makes economical sense to build the pipeline. That way, we'll see how much CHINA really wants that oil and how much they're willing to pay for it.
