Legislator wants faster oil, gas permits that can take more than 100 days before approval, 30 percent more than the previous administration and Sneeky says: 'Oh, O, O, No You Don't!' Big Oil and Big Gas wants the permits faster and Sneeky puts up road blocks. There is a difference between issuing permits and being allowed to drill, produce oil and fuel. BUT, Big Oil and Big Gas sells fuel and natural gas on the world market for higher prices. The US ‘oil and natural gas resources’ belong to the citizens of this country and are to be used by those same citizens! These resources are Not to be exported without taking care of the domestic market first and above all else. Drive vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

There is not enough oversite as the oil companies will not monitor themselves as shown with the oil company in Colo with 6 spills over the past year.

Obama didn't take away drilling leases, he shortened the terms because oil companies were sitting on them until it was more profitable for them to tap the oil or natural gas.
Maybe this is why it's a little tougher to get permits and leases.

Yes, and the government should put export tariffs on it, so they either keep it here or they help pay off the National debt.

I am guessing even with more oil we will still see higher prices as more fuels are exported for higher profits.

Hastings said it may take more than 100 days for the administration to issue Applications for Permits to Drill, which he says is 30 percent longer than the previous administration.
It's still Bush's fault :)

100 days is only a bit more than 3 months--not too long a wait if it means safeguarding human health & the environment.

Double Dittoes to what John747 posted!!!
The only thing NoBama might ever say that is the truth is a statement that states: "I'm lying to the American public every time I open my mouth"...

Don't waste your time paying attention to what President Obama SAYS. Look to see what he DOES. If his mouth is moving - he's probably lying!
He may SAY he wants to get rid of red tape. But his actions don't reflect that.

Didn't President Obama promise to cut red tape, increase permit, etc., last year; the year before that; the year before that?
