Holiday break for consumers: Plummeting gasoline prices

USA Today -- With memories of having paid all-time high prices for gasoline earlier this year, U.S. consumers are about to get a break for the holiday season: $3-a-gallon gas in much of the country.

With U.S. supplies rising and demand fizzling, wholesale prices are sinking fast and will soon be reflected at the pump. Now averaging $3.35 a gallon nationwide, prices are expected to drop to about $3.20 a gallon within the next two to three weeks. Consumers in many states could find prices at $3 a gallon or even less in many states, says Tom Kloza of the Oil Price Information Service.

They are easing down, but they aren't plummeting anywhere. They'll be headed back up at around Christmas to record highs again next year thanks to Obama.

I'm starting to think some of these stories are just propaganda but if they start selling gas for $1.68 gas like in 2008, I'll be okay with that. lol

Just another word in a lame attempt to sensationalize a slow decline in pump prices. Now when prices increase, why don't they use the word skyrocket or a phrase like exponential hike???

This is just telling us that gas is no longer ridiculously priced but now it is just over-priced.
