...selling some of the fuel to Asia will benefit the economy more than consuming it domestically. "Key word is "SOME". How about selling EXCESS supply AFTER taking care of the good ole USA!

Look at the long run. How many US jobs, products, etc. will this energy sale cost - How much of a gain in ENERGY INDEPENDENCE would this natural gas have made - How many vehicles could this energy have powered?

It's clear our energy plan is about energy dependence not energy independence.

Tax the exported fuel to pay down the debt. But, this will keep prices higher in the US

Don't export. Sell domestically. Use it for transportation and off-road equipment.

“Exports may boost domestic prices by more than $1 per thousand cubic feet in coming years, NERA said. The benefits will more than offset the effect of higher prices for U.S. consumers that may be triggered by reduced domestic supply.”
Exports may indeed help the national economy but exactly how are consumers supposed to “offset the effect of higher prices” on their personal economies?

I disagree: Charity begins at home ahead of the bottom line. Lots of people accross this country are still unemployed despite denials to that effect by the administration and cheap heating energy will help make life bearable for them this winter.

Also If they ship half of all they produce they will use up that 100 yr supply in 50 yrs; Or less if the estimates are wrong.
