Delivery drivers feeling the rise in gas prices more than others

KSDK -- St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Some of us more than others are feeling the pinch at the pump, but all of us have seen the increase in gas prices over the past several weeks.

The price of regular unleaded has jumped 20 cents over the past two weeks and up nearly 54 cents over the past nine weeks. The national average is $3.80 a gallon. In St. Louis it's $3.62 a gallon.

The reasons behind the increase, oil prices are up and many refineries are already switching over to summer blends.

All of this is of little comfort to those who drive for a living.

Some drivers track the price of gas everyday and their paycheck is greatly impacted every time we see the price go up a few cents.

"A lot of people are a lot more generous, you know, sometimes," says Imo's driver Jim Garber.

The most evil man in America today is a guy named Schwartz György and he is responsible for most of the problems around today, here and in the rest of the world. Every day he works to deprive you of your individual freedom. He owns politicians, businessmen, reporters and corporations among others. Just by mentioning his name i endanger myself but i am so small he wouldn't bother with me. Articles critical of him disappear from the internet while he pays people to troll the comment sections. Otherwise they couldnt do business. Other delivery companies will be forced to do this or go out of business. Some people will not tip delivery folks so it must be a formal charge.

I have cut back on my driving when gas goes up, that's for sure. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to do that. Carpool, anyone?

That's one reason the Postal Service is actively pursuing alternative fuels for it's delivery vehicles where it makes sense to do so.

The recent increases at the pump and the threats by several state governments to increase the tax on gasoline is completely unjustified.
