isn't gas price always added to the bill? since it's floating you can't reliably estimate the cost of it...

""The reasons behind the increase, oil prices are up and many refineries are already switching over to summer blends.""
Ask the people in the NE and Great Lakes regions if they are ready for 'Summer Blends"??????

No problem - some states are looking at raising gas taxes 10-15 cents a gallon. Stupid id as stupid does. You voted for these bimbos now live with the consequences.

Me too. Just don't drive if you don't have to, don't eat out and don't buy anything unless absolutely necessary. Any thing left belongs to the government.

The GasBuddy smartphone app is an essential work tool for these drivers, and they can make use of it safely, before hitting the road.

The next shoe to drop will be the rise in food prices attributed to higher transportation costs. Higher gas prices, higher food prices, higher taxes. Thank-you Mr. Obummer for all your great work as President. NOT!!!

I dislike obama and the current policies as much as the next guy but if you focus on him, you miss the big picture. The most evil man in America today is a guy named Schwartz György and he is responsible for most of the problems around today, here and in the rest of the world. Every day he works to deprive you of your individual freedom. He owns politicians, businessmen, reporters and corporations among others. Just by mentioning his name i endanger myself but i am so small he wouldn't bother with me. Articles critical of him disappear from the internet while he pays people to troll the comment sections. (I understand it is 56 cents per comment) I know it sounds crazy and i certainly do not blame you for not believing it, sometimes i don't believe such evil could exist. Check out every leftist movement in America and you will find a link to him. He is kind of like Keyser Söze except he is real.

Moving companies charge a fuel surcharge to cover the spikes in fuel prices across the country. Otherwise they couldnt do business. Other delivery companies will be forced to do this or go out of business. Some people will not tip delivery folks so it must be a formal charge.

No one cost has a broader effect across our entire economy than fuel. It impacts everything we use.

I definitely track the price of gas, along with everyone else on this site. I have cut back on my driving when gas goes up, that's for sure. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to do that. Carpool, anyone?

For instance, every penny rise in the cost of gas adds an additional $8 million/year to the cost of delivery for the Postal Service. That's one reason the Postal Service is actively pursuing alternative fuels for it's delivery vehicles where it makes sense to do so.

I for one have been tracking gas prices every day since April 17,2008. The recent increases at the pump and the threats by several state governments to increase the tax on gasoline is completely unjustified.
