Infrastructure - ....basic physical and organizational structures and facilities....public-policy discussion was hampered by lack of a precise definition for infrastructure.... If you get rid of the "infrastructure"....just might work...

Come to think of it, nothing made by Chrysler is useful. Maybe Ford will read this and come up with some ideas.

Unfortunately pick up trucks aren't really useful vehicles. If we could get some vans, like the E-250 with CNG, I'd consider one.

Sure natural gas looks like a good & cheap alternative, however prices will go up when the supply tightens up and inventories are dry. Just like the prices of the past before supply exceeded demand. At present natural gas producers & inventory storage holders are looking for anything to use up product to boost prices.

this is not an expensive option conversion has been around for 20 years and not for a lot of money. you can build a vehicle to run on cng and gas at a reasonable price and the consumer has a choice.

Great news. Now that the corrupt premier has quit and left the sinking ship that is Ontario. Maybe we can get the natural gas infrastructure rebuilt. This was a great program, until the Liberals killed it.

The price of natural gas is going up. Chrysler waited too long.

While I am not planning to upgrade my car or purchase from Dodge, this is a good thing.
Movement in this direction by any of the car manufacturers is a good thing.

Would make more sense for semi's to use natural gas. I am just not sure if there are enough fueling stations yet.

CNG is gaining because it's economically beneficial all around. No Gummint help needed.

We had natural gas pickups in the 1970's, it is about time they made a came back.

The natural gas-powered Ram pickup sounds like a winner especially since it can switch to a reserve tank of gasoline as a back-up.

Yes I feel it will be hard to find a place to fill up. I'm sure a large company will come up with something there the only ones that have the money.

Safety should not be this issue here as they have been around for years. Its the usually centralized filling options that will be a factor. Now is they had a removable tank option that would minimize the situation. Two onboard tanks with one removable so you could fill it weekly and still have the second fixed tank to suppliment your system. Just thinking out loud here.

An excellent idea from the chrysler group and starting with the 2500 it will allow us to see what is happening with the mileage.

GREAT! Hopefully it catches on and more companies follow with a wide variety of natural gas vehicles. The U.S. is the world's largest producer of natural gas. We should be pursuing the use of abundant, cheap and clean American natural gas in the forms of CNG and LNG as our PRIMARY alternative to all oil based fuels. It will be much better and cheaper than pursuing limited range all electric vehicles.
