Will makeover of Honda's 2013 Accord return it to the head of the class?

GasBuddy Blog -- Once a perennial contender for best-selling car in the U.S., Honda's Accord hasn't come close to that status in more than a decade — "slapped down by Toyota's Camry," reports USA TODAY.

Honda is looking to change that with a full makeover for the 2013 Accord that becomes available Sept. 19.

When consumers see the new Accord they should expect major changes. These include a slimming design in the exterior; better mileage that increases by as much as 4 miles per gallon to 36 mpg on the highway; and updated technology. The improvements raise prices for various trim levels up to $300. The new starting price with automatic transmission, is up $200 to $22,470, including shipping.

There are many other make and models to consider that are just as good as Honda or Better! Buy American? - just how much 'American' is really IN American vehicles anymore? I will drive my current vehicle into the ground before buying anything new, used, EV, Inbred, diesel, hydrogen, alternative fuel, CNG, concept or anything else! My current vehicle was paid for many years ago and it works just fine! Why have another car payment in 'coming out of the closet' Chucky's lousy, smoke and mirrors, lack of jobs, dog and pony show and in the crapper economy, the good paying jobs are Not here. Chucky's economy is not improving but continues to hurt the population and the job numbers continue to be down – no matter how smoooooth talking Chucky spins those numbers and he can spin them very well! People will still drive and buy fuel no matter what but it sure helps to have a job too! Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012
