Christmas 2012: God bless the children

During the Christmas / Hanukkah holidays we are blessed if we are able to gather with our families and friends and share the good tidings and blessings of the season. But this year inexplicable and unspeakable events have drawn the eyes of the world upon us.

As a nation we were horrified to learn of the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut. The suffering of the families there is unfathomable, and if we learn nothing else from it, we must learn to never take for granted the gift we have in each breath we take.

Our hope is our future and our future is our children. May God bless you and your family wherever you may be. May God bless the men and women of our Armed Forces. And on this Christmas especially, may God bring...

This is done purposefully to expose the blog. The GasBuddy Official Blog is not updated as often as the Daily News Article feature (as the blog is not user driven), in the event you click on a blog article, and it is the same as the previous days article, the blog has not yet seen a new post. Some articles can often remain for a few days (the blog contributors are understandably not required to submit new content over the weekend or during the holidays). If you've responded to the blog post already, you can choose to either join in on the current discussion at hand, or move on to another news article. I'd recommend the All Recent News page. There have always been violently insane people who commit awful acts. Today we learn of these horrendous crimes in virtually real time. 200 years ago, it took weeks. It's clear that we need to find a better way to deal with mental health issues.
