For the moment, the national average has stalled at $3.228, the same as it was at midnight. We're certainly not getting much help from wholesale prices, which have spent a majority of this week rising, keeping stations from lowering their prices further, and perhaps leading lower priced stations to raise their prices.

The concern now shifts...

second station raised prices by 13 cents (first one was up a dime yesterday).
Filled up on the way home to take advantage of the (still) low prices at the other station(s).

A station where I reported $2.89 this morning (6:40 AM) jacked their price up to $3.15 (2:00 PM) in the afternoon!
Another station that had $2.99 gas yesterday is now selling it for $3.19.

They bounced up in Minnesota. One of the multiple bad outcomes that came from reelecting Worse Than Carter. A national tragedy.

These predictions do nothing to help the consumer and only serve to feed speculation! And might the coming holidays, with added family travel, account for the present situation?

Oh I forgot, the world was supposed to end today.
