I was blocked out by Tower but never given a notice about it by either him or the site. I thought he got banned or quit or something. He had a nice thread called "Politics Forum Dies" where a lot of folks made good points about debate, but I had to go through Google to find it again due to the block, and eventually somebody passed the word to me about the forced-Ignore, but otherwise I would have never known. It's a bizarre system that allows one person to control what another can read and I guess it's a special case. But the only way you know is if you try to read their topic and it comes up "we're sorry this topic is no longer available" as if they're on your Ignore List, yet they're not. We inhabit a strange place.

On the topic of the military and names. I stood for an I.G. inspection when I was in the 82 airborne. Just for some back ground a leg is any non-airborne person and the lowest form of life, a cherry is a five jump chump with only his jump school jumps under his belt and prone to doing stupid thing in the plane under canopy. In one squad we had a SGT Jumper next was SPC. Childs and SPC Legg and last but not least was PFC Cherry. The CSM made all four get out their dotages because he thought someone was playing a joke on him.
